Geonamica-based project for VITO

RIKS is integrating a new transport model with the Metronamica land use model for the Flemish research institute VITO. To allow VITO researchers to investigate feedbacks between transport and land use change, RIKS is building a Geonamica interface for VITO‘s transport model to allow it to work dynamically with Metronamica. The integration is another demonstration of the advantages of the modular approach to model integration that Geonamica provides. When the project is done, the transport model will be able to run both stand alone and integrated with Metronamica - and with no changes to the transport model.
