Urban planning and development in Denmark can be characterized by a relatively strong planning framework. Christian Fertner of the University of Copenhagen applied Metronamica to assess the impact of the fingerplan on the land use developments in the Copenhagen metropolitan area. The fingerplan stimulates urban development around the major transport axes radiating from the center of the city, preserving green open spaces in between. Results of this project are presented available in this report.
